                            The Hazard Identification Number, which consists of two or three figures, gives an immediate information about the hazard nature of a dangerous goods from class 2 to 9.
                    
    
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
    - First digit:
 indicates the main hazard associated to the dangerous goods.
- Other Digits:
 indicate the additional or subsidiary hazards associated to the dangerous goods.
- Details:
 Where the hazard associated with a substance can be adequately indicated by a single figure, this is followed by zero.
 80 Corrosive or slightly corrosive substance
 
 Doubling of a figure indicates an intensification of that particular hazard.
 88 Higly corrosive substance
 
 Prefix "X" indicates that that the substance will react dangerously with water.
 X80 Corrosive or slightly corrosive substance that reacts dangerously with water
